
Student Agreement Parent Agreement Assessment Schedule
| Students who successfully complete an online high school course through Wichita eSchool will receive full accredited credit for the course from Wichita Public Schools. | |
| Wichita eSchool offers core courses in math, science, social studies, and language arts. Elective courses are available in music, Spanish, computer keyboarding, computer applications, computer presentations, art, High School 101 (study skills) and community service. | |
| If a student wants to take other elective courses we can make arrangements for the student to attend one of our district high schools for elective courses. | |
| Students will have a logon to the site and will work directly with the online teacher of the course. | |
| All high school students will be required to attend mentor sessions regularly at JFISC, 412 S. Main. Students will will with their mentor teacher and participate in a variety of activities during these sessions including tests, quizzes, labs, etc. | |
| All assignments, projects and assessments will be given by the online teachers. | |
| Coursework will include textbook readings, Internet research, worksheet completion, projects, quizzes and test. (The online courses will be very similar to coursework in our brick-and -mortar schools.) | |
| The online teacher will grade all assignments, projects and assessments and will track all student progress. | |
| The online teacher will also assign all course grades. | |
| The online teacher will be available to the students to answer questions and assist the students in understanding assignments. | |
| Students in online courses need to be self motivators who are able to follow timelines and are responsible for completing coursework. |

Course Requirements for High School Graduation
The minimum requirement for a Wichita high school diploma is 22 units of credit. This includes credits earned in approved high school programs.
(Three math credits will be required of all graduates beginning with students in 9th grade for the 2005-2006 school year.)
